Hi all, just trying to find out whether anyone has come across a similar issue with Orona lifts? We have been notified that
ropes have failed as a result of unequal spring tension in the ropes. Could this be manutacturer's fault at all? thanks for any advice.

I'm not sure how much assistance you'll get on this forum with a very specific lift issue which isn't electrical related.

I'd suggest you refer to the service schedules laid out by the manufacturer. If balancing the spring tensions is part of that schedule I'd take issue with whoever is the servicing contractor. If it's not part of the service schedule I'd approach the installers.

Surely this would have been picked up by the inspector who should have been doing this under LOLER Regulations

Apartments Passenger lift?

It's very unlikely to be faulty ropes.
It's inadequate maintenance checks that have failed to spot the need to adjust them.

I assume the tenants are liable for the costs?
