Outside light for animal deterrant

Hi guys,

ive been asked to instal an outside light to stop foxes gettin into the chicken coup.
what sort of light would work best to keep away foxes at night? I've been looking at most motion sensor lights but im not sure if they are applicable to foxes
Can anyone please clarify or point me in the right direction?

Just down the road from me is the Cat Survival Trust. They have a number of big cats (including snow leopards, etc). I'm told that big cat **** will deter any UK native predator, including foxes.

Join the Trust, volunteer to shovel big cat **** into your bag - hey, job done!

Honestly , the fox wont care about a light.

as for foxes being nocturnal Not round here they arent
FIL use to keep chickens and hes been known to chase them but they are cunning cunning things they dig they jump they wont bother about light SHOTGUN would be my prefered method

As Tel said before - Rabbits . A farmer I know would shoot the Rats, Rabbits,and wood Pigeons then
leave them in the stack yard . The Foxes knew they were going to get fed and left the Hens alone. The Hens were free range and in runs,and locked in at night, lost a few , but by and large a sort of truce. I know this sounds far fetched but it is true.
