hello all, im after some advice from you all, i have to fit 3 outside 60watt lantern lights. There is a ceiling rose nearby, am i ok too use the loop on the rose to supply the lights, or is 3 lights to many to put on a pendant. Ps im switching them all on by a 1 gang switch. IM NOT SURE IF I HAVE TO USE A FUSED SPUR FOR THIS.THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING THE TIME TO READ THIS.

I suppose that is your friends choice, but you know he is unable to sign off your work right?

got to say tho, i aint got a clue what 'CITY AND PART 1 AND 2' is. Obviously not in depth enuff to teach you the need for fused connection units and there purpose.

Do yourself, and the people you seek advice off a huge favour, get a qualified spark to do it, FFS it's only 2 hours work and will cost you at most ÂŁ80, Certified and legal. Without making your home insurance policy void.

You are aware that your home insurance is void if you carry out notifiable work right?

Is the circuit RCD protected?

Remember that any new cables you run must comply with current regs for RCD protection e.g. if your switch drop and any other cables are less than 50mm from surface etc.
