H

hightower

Brother got his oven cleaned yesterday, today it's tripping the RCD (not the breaker) - I'm gonna head over tonight and take a look for him but just thought I'd post here and ask for advice/possible things to look for.

Thanks,

Had another customer that wanted their 'new' oven fitted a few years back. I upended it to get to the terminals and must have been half a pint of dirty water came out. Perplexed I spoke to the customer. Turns out they got it from their brother. His house was one of the unlucky ones in the Morpeth floods a few years back, and yep, the oven was flooded too! I then suggested that Curry's would probably have some good deals on!

I worked in a few of those.
One insurance company would only allow the base units to be changed one of the kitchens as the top units were not damaged lol.
They had to concede in the end though.

Well, it seems you've done it again you bunch of legends. Told brother to direct a fan heater towards the oven for a half hour. Turned on without tripping after and he's now been running the oven for a couple hours to try and dry it out thoroughly.

Glad all sorted mate. Think I deserve some lovin tho for #9!! Cmon HT!!

Much much much more importantly though, make sure your brother cancels the spark who's coming round later. It's Friday afterall, should be going home early!!

Everyone gets some lovin. I mean, who would have though you put a bunch of misfits together on a blue and yellow webpage, and they produce something as awesome as this place.

Anyway, yeah, I've told him not to be a p**** and make sure he tells the guy. I think thanks are in order to the cleaning company too as I thought it was a pretty professional response.
