On 'Pattesters' website they advise-

When testing modern IT equipment it is not normal to performed a leakage or touch current test; these tests are usually used on older equipment in place of the 500 Volt insulation test.

However in my copy of the IEE they say that touch current test should be used.

So if you are not using a leakage or touch current, I presume the only tests they are saying used on it are visual inspection & earth continuity test.
 
Correct!! The reason being; modern PC's momentarely start up when you apply power, then shut down automatically after about 10 seconds. When PAT testing the applied test duration is around 5 seconds. When 2 short bursts of power is applied to modern PC's
there is a potential of them "crashing".
