Pain in the --- fans

Any tips on balancing them crappy wooden ceiling fans lads ! Instructions are naff and I have 3 x 3 gram weights to help but struggling to get them right ? Cheers

Going to be trial and error. Fit the weight to one blade and see if there is improvement, if not take it off and try another.

Metal blades may be okay but not wood as their weights will vary.

Yes , but if the top mount is knackered it will sway about like I used to in the bar.

You could try the method similar to that used by motorcyclists to balance wheels. Mount it on a board first so the fan is vertical.

The heaviest point should then rotate to the bottom. You need to add weight to the other blades until it no longer rotates.
