My father inlaw has had no response from the installer, as of last night which is disgraceful as the guy has had prob £50,000 worth of business via him.
Sadly I am 250 miles away or I would be knocking on his door

Are the any proffessional bodies he can contact or just trading standards ?

Martin

Depends, If the installer was with the NICEIC, like we are, he would have had a notice through the door notifying him that it had been registered with building control, and that the system would have a warranty provided by the NICEIC etc, if he has this contact the body he belongs to, that could be a start. I would recommend getting hold of the chap give him another last go and then go down that route.

Sorry, but does that not cover you just for Part P?
In response to the OP, you could try REA, which is a code of conduct we have to follow in this industry, or the MCS.
But one point maybe in the suppliers defense is most are flat out until 3rd March due to yet another deadline, it may be worth contacting him again, explaining your dissatisfaction, and the course of action that you are about to take.

Earthstore

This has been going on for months, being flat out is no defence at all, a simple phone call would suffice

Sorry, just trying to help.
I did not realize it had been going on that long.
Try the route I suggested, just Google them for information.
REA or REAL as it was called are supposed to protect the consumer,
so push them.

I hope this helps.
