Hi all,

I have my part p soon but I have heard you can notify building regs if not registered for around £75 does anyone know if this is true if so it would do me a big favour.

If you are not a member of a scheme yet all notifiable work you do goes via building control prices vary form area to area and the job you are doing. This must be done before the job starts of if in an emergency asap.

If you are not a member of a scheme you have to submit written approval to Building Control, even if you have applied to join a scheme it can take 4-6 weeks for them to visit for appraisal so you would probably have to go through building control any way and they like to have two jobs they may or may not check. Building control to my knowledge costs £100-£125 depending on the Council.
