The defined scope a by elecsa / napit..........deos this scheme only enable you to install and sign off domestic propertys ? ....

I have been asked to give a price on re wiring 100 hotel rooms, ( this hotel being part of a LARGE francias). and wonder if i can sign them off on the full scope assesment. ( not approved contractor)

Hotels don't fall under Part P. It's for domestic dwellings only so you don't need to be registered at all to carry out work in a hotel.

Defined Scope is for firms/individuals who undertake certain electrical work in dwellings as part of their main business i.e kitchen fitters

Full Scope is for firms/individuals who undertake all aspects of electrical work in dwellings i.e electricians.

In other words you dont have to 'sign off' work that does not come under part P...such as commercial properties.

RCD requirements are still the same (socket-outlets, cables concealed etc). You still have to comply with the wiring regulations.

You may want to re-phrase that.

You don't have to notify work that doesn't come under Part P but you still have to sign it off.
