does building regs alow us to knock out the occasional brick?
just wondering i have in the past done it as when necessary.

it's 2 bricks about 2 metres apart it will be fine.
just wondering if any regs about it?

i wouldnt worry about that mate,my old man told me a tale a good few years ago when they knocked half a supporting wall down to get a large swa dressed in,they just bricked in back in,not sure if the building is standing but they got the supply in..

A couple of bricks won't make a difference just the bonding won't be as strong when they're put back in.

Some people get really annoyed about the mortar not matching the original...

I looked at a house extension build online where building inspector insisted thet they had to tie the extension floor slab into the existing building. The external house wall had to have nearly 50% of it's bricks along it's length (2 bricks high) removed to tie the new slab in - actual quote from builder
'''The slab needs to be keyed into the existing house wall with slots two bricks wide and two bricks deep spread over the length of the slab - wall / keys ratio should be 50%. I can't say I'm happy with this but there you are.'''

So a couple removed for wiring should be fine.
