You wont get on a scheme with only level 2 qual.. I take it you didnt pass you apprenticeship then if you dont have level 3?

part p is a building regulation, you need no qualifications to work under part p.
to comply with part p notifiable work needs to be notified to building contol either direct or threw a governing body-niceic, elesca etc
i do believe the minimum to sighn up qualification wise it nothing but you will need to get a level 3 qual most probably 17th edition within 2weeks (different governing body's vary).

it may also interest you that part p regulation is being changed on the 6th of april both the current and new part p documents can be found on planning portal website.

as for the original question-Where's the cheapest place to take part p ? (if you are refering to governing bodies)

i think its called stroma, not very well known but i think its around ÂŁ250.

no i didnt get chance to finish my 3rd year at college as i lost my job in November and at the time i wasn't in the best position to pay the 900 odd so i could complete the course, i however am thinking of going back in September to do my 3rd year

thanks for the replies

you must compete your 3rd year, even if it means going into debt. ( maybe a 0% credit card will help ). then get 2382-12 ( 17th ed. regs.). then you can get into a scheme. ytou will need a calibrated MFT, PL insurance, and some other seemingly useless paper crap. and a fistful of dollars for a years membership.

yeah i intend on doing my 3rd year but at the time i wasn't in the best financial position to do it. Iv just been having a look online for course providers for just my 3rd year but everything keep saying level 2 & 3 but iv already completed my lvl 1 & 2

Level 3 will be best for the long run buddy. When you say North East...are we talking as far North as Nuuucasstle? If so, think you should get ureself to the doctors son and get the correct injections, it's a danger zone.
