Hi everyone,

i was wandering do you have to use a certain type of PAT testing sticker for an appliance or can you design your own company specific ones, as long as they have all the same information on as for example the NICEIC ones.

thanks,

Jess

No reason why you cant do your own the only drawback is if they are not of high quality it may put your customers off and to be honest by the time you have paid out for printer ink and paper are you really going to save that much. Their are companies out there that will do your labels with company name and telephone number on them

Hope that helps

Chris

yeah, thanks very much. i wasnt thinking about it as a money saving idea really....i was just working in a new building the other day and saw all the appliances had quite nice labels on them from the company that did the work and thought id like to do that as well! thanks for the advice.

I use a place called the The label people, they are midlands based but do overnight, with all my info on them, and they were cheap. An Ebay shop. Search PAT labels or something along those lines.

I use that same companyAs DS....Very very good, excellent service, fast delivery and a good quality sticker, if just a little boring!

PAT Testing is Boring!!!! :( i had 800 to do in 3 days not long back!! YAWN!! i just thought of the money and the fact it was my first job since buying my PAT tester..!! made my money back , paid insurance and cal certs and had 200 to play with!! :)

patlabels dot co dot uk and the label people, thats the two main ones I use, in fact I just sorted through my boxes of labels, both do really good quality labels and the label people also do the yellow warning stickers and can do customised yellow stickers with your details and telephone number etc on them...can buy on their websites and postage is fast...definately reccomend them...

Personally it would annoy me having to use adaptors all the time. Can't you buy a proper UK one?
