What is the current going rate for P.A.T testing per item?

how much youre charged is irrelevant as to how good a job is going to be done. Ever watched cowboy builders? people overcharged and ripped off before the jobs finished. id be more inclined to want references from other clients before allowing someone to start work. regardless of what nature it is.

yeah there lies the problem, and when things go pete tong wish they'd spent a little more time preparing the job they now need done again.

i do a hourly rate so say 45 items 2 hours £60

Christ anytime I have been unfortunate enough to have to PAT test I would only manage between 8 - 10 items per hour.

Never had it as easy as that lol normally spend most of the time crawling under desks trying to sort out a load of spaghetti cables.

Depends what the views like, on how long your under the desk IMO!!

i know what you mean , that one was a brilliant one tbh , all were disconnected already iec leads in pairs of 2 took about 1.5 hours

Notice no ones posted a figure yet lol.

The first time is always a pain but the following year providing no major changes is far easier.

Aim for 1.50 per item but also sometimes charge a fee for first 30 etc, Depends on the premises and if previous records are available as well as may make it higher.
