some advice would be greatly appreciated

i was under the impression that pc monitors were class 2 yet i am unable to confirm this with the double square logo on some monitors a customer has asked me to check, should they be treated as class1 or 2 ?

also slightly unsure on permisable earth leakage test limits / results
book of words say 0.25 mA but the few i have tested all showed about 0.40mA which is still minute but apparently fails
would really appreciate some help please

using a seaward 250

Earth bond @ 100mA, insulation @ 500v NO earth leakage. Earth can be picked up on visible chassis at rear or via shell of RGB plug.

PC equipment, generally a visual. With monitors you often won't have access to exposed metal parts. Insulation and load test could cause damage to the switch mode supplies unless you test with 250v bear this in mind. Earth leakage can vary.

thanks Gents]
when you say no leakage test, I take it you mean runs test ( starts up for 5 seconds)
my machine does a leakage test with out starting it up i think its called a substitute leakage test, should i interrupt the testing after the earth bond and I/R test?
