Hello, doing a periodic on a bungalow, the rear garage has a big blow up pool in it, not a fixed pool but is used in there. Will the sockets and lights fail if not ip rated?? Thanks.

I agree with Hightower, this isn't a 'special location' by design. Kind of like having the tin bath in front of the fire (like the good old days!)

Code 5 - make sure you comment on it on your report, so that the situation is highlighted and documented - remember its your --- that will get kicked!

agree with murdoch except for the --- bit. we ain't yanks so the correct terminology ( as we should all use at all times) is arse.

Im going to agree and dis agree here , you are carrying out an inspection , agree with a difficult one to code but how ever the pool is tempruary , but when the pool was installed in there the garage was then changed to change of use from a garage to a room containing a pool which when this is done also changes garage to special locations so has to be inspected as that i do agree with high tower that its temruary but its a pool full of water and the potential is real , so if some thing happend and some one was killed what would you tell the judge , just my thoughts
