Just wondering what everyone's pet hates are. You know, those things that really get on your ----. I went to a job last week and there was a massive gap between the backboxes and accessories - I'm talking about a 5cm gap here. I thought the accessory and backbox were supposed to form an enclosure! It really annoys me!

Clients who are late and awkward paying, then you find they can afford an offshore bank account. TTT's

By the way...TTT= Tight twisting ****

Doing a nice looking install job with tray/conduit/trunking, then an alarm guy comes in later and tie wraps his intruder/fire/cctv cables any old how to it.

easy solution. phone the company and give them 48 hours to re-route cables before you cut them.

related to electrics- having to redo work because some fud farked it up beforehand
in general- when driving, nothing ****es me off more than sitting behind someone at the lights and them having their foot on the brake.

I actually 'pulled over' a police car when I was a lot younger and told them that leaving their foot on the brake had dazzled me and they should know better. the driver was most annoyed and proceeded to look round my car trying to find fault (none at all) the other one was creasing himself which annoyed mr angry driver even more.
made me ACtual lol!

I hate tie-wraps which haven't been cut down troperly as it leaves a razor sharp plastic tongue all angles at my wrists when im adding a circuit to say a cable tray....:furious3:

sporting a nice slash on my parm from cat2 diffusers. They have to be the most ill thought out method for diffusing light for a suspended ceiling light install.
I have not yet found a way of looking elegant and professional when trying to tease one out.

Agreed, it's always turns out being a very unwieldy and clattering experience

Also how the springs retaining a GU10 will occasionally fire out and stick to your arm
