Just wondering what everyone's pet hates are. You know, those things that really get on your ----. I went to a job last week and there was a massive gap between the backboxes and accessories - I'm talking about a 5cm gap here. I thought the accessory and backbox were supposed to form an enclosure! It really annoys me!

People who say "Its been working perfectly until now"......well that is what happens when something develops a fault.... derrr it works and then it doesn't.

my reply to that one is "the titanic worked till it sank".

Plasterers filling boxes with muck, it takes a second to wipe your finger around it when it's wet.
Unmarked CUs, DIY/cowboy bodges, plumbers who claim to know more than a qualified spark giving cack advice, clients who watch every move you make while working, working in pubs which are invariably full of cowboy bodges. I could go on but I can feel the blood starting to boil:)

other trades giving our clients their 'pearls of wisdom' IE. the builder or plasterer who tells them the cables you have clipped in the wall. pre boarding should be capped/conduit/ etc etc.
I told one customer it is not a requirement, after the bulider had told them it was, and I wont be capping the cables, came back to second fix and hey presto, the bulder had done it, Armpit.

People who presume you'll work for free (usually family) or people who try to tell YOU how much a job will cost. Also, older sparks who presume i can't do the job because i'm 30 years younger than them (i respect their experience but give me a chance before you write me off)
