Hi, just wondering if anyone can recommend a decent pet pir for a cat?

I have installed a Texecom petwise at a property but they say the cat is setting it off at night, never had any problem with these in the past.

Cheers

climbing curtains then, tell your client to sling the cat out side at night and tell the cat to stalk a dog .
climbing curtains should not be a problem. the pet friendly PIRs go by body weight, maybe it's a real fat cat. if so it should run a cps scam scheme

Cats go all over the place at night, it’s quite amazing. If the cat can climb in front of the detector it will look this big.

Don't know what panel you are using but you could always set the circuit to double knock

Cats and intruder alarms don't mix unfortunately, even with pet sensors.

Your best bet is trying to contain your cat to a certain area of the house and configuring your alarm so that area is turned off upon setting. Still probably not fair on the cat though if it's fairly active.

Hi. Pet sensitive detector adopt infrared ray to detect. Once it detects something, it will make a alert. So when you install the Pet PIR detector, you can install it at a high location. It can avoid false alarm to some extent.

You would have thought they'd have a switch to flick on and off to engage an override. Not on each PIR but an actual light switch
