If the EICR is for the whole installation, then it's a bit pointless sending a guy to test/inspect an area of work that needs a compex accreditation, that hasn't!! And Yes you WILL need to hold a Compex ticket if you are going to carry out any testing work to the fuel dispensing systems...

You may wish to take guidance from EEMUA book 186 issue 6 which has recently been released if you are going down the Compex route. However, you DO NOT need Compex accreditation to due the work but what you do need to be is a competent person. Being in possession of a 'compex ticket' does not make a person competent.

Hmmm, ...So what exactly does compex accreditation mean then, and more importantly, what is the point of compex accreditation ??

Do you have any official written matter/material supporting your above claims/statements??

I would say HSWA and section 2.2.a and 2.2.e also section 7. I this specific enough ?

I love those that speak in code, or expect you to have the relevant publication readily to hand!!!

So why can't you just post up the relevant bits??

But if what you are saying above is correct, ...who, or rather why would anyone need to undergo those expensive compex courses then, if as you state, none of the compex accreditations equates to the holders as being competent??

Now call me naive, but i was under the impression that was the the whole point of being Compex accredited!!!
