Hi everyone
The dipped beam on my l/h side of my 307cc has failed. I fitted a new bulb but no joy. Having decided to replace the plug to the bulb which looked manky, I measured the voltage at the bare wires before fitting the new plug and it was only 2.24V. I decided to measure the voltage on the two relevant pins on the multi-plug which connect to the whole headlamp unit and was surprised to get a reading of -1.49V. I'm trying to locate the problem which I'm guessing is either at the fuse/relay unit, the multi-plug from that unit, the wires themselves or the connecting plug at the light. Does anyone have any ideas why the voltage described would reduce and change polarity? Thanks in advance!
