Your 'Not if you remove it' post just seems a little out of sequence with the discussion of trying to obtain a psc/pfc value.

What does the 'Not' refer to?

Do a loop test between live & neutral,
Measure voltage (don't just use 230v)

Then PFC=V/R, that's all a tester does.
