Wire them in series. Does it matter which way u have them. Because the time clock is there they obv wanna turn off before photocell detects day light.

So i can not really see if it makes a diofference if u go photocell to time clock or vice versa. Thanks
 
photocell first is preferable, but usually the time clock is nearest to the supply, so you can put the clock first. however, with most photocells, when the clock powers the photocell, it will turn the light/s on for a few secs.even if it's light
