Pictures of Board work

Someone posted a thread about showing pictures of boards the other day. Here is one I saw today. Brand new install by an electrician apparently with 20+ years experience

No disrespect to you caspor but your bewilderment and your concerned disapproval
would most likely be like a red rag to a Bull to sparks having a tea break

Best to accept it for what it is,nothing exceptionally bad, certainly not spectacular

I fully accept what it is. Red rags, bulls and tea breaks don't interest me. If an apprentice did it then surely they would be given tips and pointers on how to improve to make them better sparks. So what I'm saying is why is it ok for an experienced spark to do it? The job I'm on is of a high standard then there's this.

It definatly does not look aesthetically pleasing like we are trained to do from the start but I don't see any thing dangerous about it. It might look ---- but I bet it is electrically sound. I would never do a job like that but that been said it's done now, just shut the dB door and forget about it haha.

I personally would rather see a well labelled but untidy board than a perfectly neat board without any labelling.

I did one of those boards recently and once you've fitted a few RCBOs there isn't much room left to dress cables neatly.

What size are the bootlaces used for the functional earths on the rcbos?

What would you do differently to make it a better design? That sounds a bit arsey but it's not meant to be, Just interested

Make the board wider. Not much room to dress properly when RCBOs fitted. Cables covering Earth terminals. Just looks ----.
