Anyone know anywhere online where I can get a cheap bundle of pilot drill bits, like 20 or more? Nice one!

Ha ha no not specifically however the loft project is likely to deplete my current supply!

I do like to use japanned 'drywall' type screws for most things which don't need piloting, however I do like to pilot out the top board and half the joist anyway, just the way I was taught I spose lol! I find even though there's more time on the batt, the lack of torque required when screwing down means the battery lasts a lot longer. This may well be all in my head, mind!

rocker, google FWB.in stoke. they do drill bits and such. not sure if they do mail order though, but i an working close to them next week and could pick some up

FWB.co.uk. they have a branch in wales, but dunnoo where. they do online sales as well.

I would say it is more about the bits than the torque of the drill. I use high quality Fisch auger bits for drilling out mortices and peg holes...
