Evening all,
Some advice please. I went round to a customers home to do a few small jobs.
One I just can’t cure.
When the cold water is running the pipe around the house vibrate. It’s a newish build property and is mainly poly pipe running through joist and in walls. The flooring is large sheets of OSB/Chipboard with no access points. When the water has been off for a period of the time, they noise seems to disappear for a few days and then returns.
The cold water has pressure reducing valve fitted and also a pressure and temp valve on the hot water storage tank. It’s a combi boiler but the house has 4 bathrooms, hence the need of extra hot water storage.
The noise isn’t the standard water hammer as it occurs when the water is running and not when a tap or toilet inlet valve shuts off.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks in advamce
