PIR Issue

Hi all, a customer called to say he was having issues with his pir lighting sensors, he has wired two lights in sequence and once the time has elapsed the first light goes off the the second stays on. he said the timer and daylight settings are ok so i was wondering if anyone had any quick solutions or has come across this before, before i start taking the circiut to bits,
