please help lighting problem

Hi there,

im wondering if anyone can help me. im a qualified electrican but have never come across this problem. basically in a church there 6 flood lights inside on each wall left and right side. the whole right side is not working as it should. one light comes but then the next light seems to come on but not at full brightness, like theres a voltage problem. then when i flick the switch one light goes off and the other comes on but they should be on together. theres 3 switches 2 lights per switch, but its like the whole configuration doesnt work and they dont all come on or stay on....

please help???

they all work but not how they should or at the correct times when the switches are pressed

When you say switched are pressed, are the lights fed via a contacter?

there are 3 switches one switch controls 2 lights and so on

its just odd theres nothing wrong with the flood it seems, could it be one neutral loose causing all this?

Check all the connections mate

Are these halogen floods or and inductive lighting?

halogen floods nope standard grid switches

Mate you need to start stripping it down from the beginning and get up to the lights.

Neutrals. Check them thoroughly.

Possibly if you have a poor connection etc.

Personally I'd isolate the power, disconnect the fittings (you know they work) and bell everything out.

Personally I'd isolate the power, disconnect the fittings (you know they work) and bell everything out.

And some live test's to see what voltage at each fitting.
