Is it tripping a MCB, a RCBO or the RCD?

as per pushrod. if readings are acceptable. clamp meter , measure current. possible faulty shower unit. is it made in china

Get an electrician in to test it. You, sorry you don't want your friend getting in the shower with a fault up to 50amp. Break dancing naked in the bath tub is never a good idea.

Firstly i would point out this work is notifiable under part P , If it trips the MCB there is a possability that the shower may have been wired incorrectly , check all connections and that the right back box patress has been used 47mm especially in the switch as wiring 10mm into the switches can be a right pain ,, but if in doubt call a spark

I think I've found my feet in the forum. I could have put:-

"Your friend" is fine the way this is wired up as long as he is standing on a rubber bath mat. OR "your friend is fine" if he calls the local water board and requests that his water supply is de-minaralised so electric current can not be conducted whilst using dove shower gel. OR :- £50 for an electrician or £3000 for a funeral. The choice is yours gentleman.
