Just doing a CU change and there's no continuity on the rig main which does down stairs upstairs and kitchen all on one circuit. The plumber had recently added underfloor heating to this circuit in a bathroom.

I asked him for his results and he went mental at me saying he didn't need a certificate because it was already there.

All I wanted was his continuity results to see if he cause the fault or it was already there

I wasn't asking any advice I was just letting people no how **** my day was going. He started ranting about not need a certificate. In the end he rang back and apologised. I later ripped down his lovely new ply wall and found a 2.5mm leg of this ring in connectors taped up floating around inside the wall Lol. A nice maintenance free joint box to reconnect it to the underfloor heating. Rang him to tell him and he wants me to do some work for him this week lol

P.s. am I a 5 week electrician???? Was that meant for me?
well he were talkin out of his botty hole here as well then as its a minor works....

Yeah, i just presumed he meant earth from his OP then he commented after i said that, that he didn't have end-to-end on either L, N or E. So yeah, they could be all out...but more than likely 2 radials smashed together or an abortion of a ring.
and if he had end to ends on the live conductors...but not on the CPC....say it was an ECR?

Well then there's a break in the cable, loose connections or they're possible parallel paths. I hope we're not trying to go back to school here glenn lol.

If there wasn't a CPC, it'd be a C2 all day and night on a ring.
