Discuss pme in the Australia area at ElectriciansForums.net

I think the problem is this subject is so misunderstood and the last decent thread on it ended up many pages long and full of opinion that actually clouded a simple set of circumstances that dictate a yes or no answer as set out in the leaflet in the thread that Dean linked to:

http://www.electriciansforums.net/e...159-good-guide-exported-pme-outbuildings.html

Maybe a searchable database of these guides/documents might be the way forward then.

They are all on the forum somewhere but finding them in the various threads is quite difficult and sometimes very time consuming.

various opinions on the matter and covered quite regularly as you may have guessed lol

there is nothing in the wiring regulations to say you cant, the dno do not like it .

as a rule of thumb i usually (just to avoid any issues with dno rules) :
export if there are no services (water etc) and it is a shortish run (purely for cable size) or tt if there are services.

for what it costs to bang a rod in i cant see why people argue the ---- about it, but its not usually very often you would need to tt theyre usually pretty close and have no services in them.

ps, ignore the comments earlier in the thread, cant see why peeps get bothered , if your not interested in the topic then dont read or reply to the thread.

If you don't want to answer then don't. No need to shout at anyone!!! Another new member to the forum and you give yet again a nasty answer. What is your problem?

There's nothing nasty, as you put it in my post!! There is nothing wrong with doing a little research on the forum either before asking a question, whether a new or seasoned member.
Let's face it, in this particular case your not going to have to look far are you!!!

At least if they did a little research, the OP can then ask relevant questions to his particular installation needs, instead of a blanket type question that's been answered time and time again...

So i don't have any problems whatsoever!!!

so why dont you go out for a night and come back when you are your friendly self for you who are thinking what others should do.... people love straight awnsers sometimes then again people want it on a plate.. but that how it rolls out..
please speak to people how you like to be spoken to yourself, if you like it rough give it rough . i have noticed aswell that some people get spoken to inapproately for not knowing what someone else knows inside out... god save the queen......

Are you purely on this forum to be argumentative and give smart arse answers?

This has been covered over and over. By searching it, it brings up loads of threads containing the answer. How is waiting for someone to reply quicker, when the information is already on the forum, covered by a 100 threads!

Actually, yes he is. just look at the thread he started on being a qualified electrician. Which he isn't. He's just an argumentative house basher.

Maybe the same reason you haven't gone out for the night ....who knows!!!

This has nothing to do with not knowing what someone else knows as you put it. It has everything to do with helping your self, if the OP in this case had taken a little time to read the various threads ..including the ''sticky'' (which is what their there for) The OP could have asked direct questions relating to his particular installation and not ask a blanket question that will lead off into all sorts of unrelated directions...

Is it really too much to ask, if OPs should read through related threads before posting questions. Personally i would like some background information on a question or subject i was looking to post. At the very least it would help me with information on what to ask in the subject question....

I am all on for people helping themselves and reading through previous posts, but as I said to you in a previous thread it is the way you say it. New members sometimes need a bit of advice as to how to get the best out of the forum. As the are new surely the deserve the benifit of nthe doubt. Answers with lots of !!!!!!! in them will only make them feel like they have done something wrong ad people do not want to help. Saying things like "here we go again" is not nice either, it is plain nasty. You have an attitude it is not good, or helpful to this forum. I personally am getting very tired of smart answers to new members.

I'll say this just one more time, so that everyone understands...

There was nothing smart or nasty in my post, intentionally or unintentionally!! I use a lot of ''!!!!'' Sorry, but that's just me i'm afraid!!

I'm not going to be held responsible to those that have thin skins, and see or read into things that are just not there !!!

Quick to hand out advice and tell people where they are going wrong and what they should do. Hand out critisism but not take it!!!!!! Sounds about right.
