think we all agree on our opinion of politicians.
but i find it amusing that my kitty also agrees.

No Adam it's not perfect but if we could get back to a system whereby hospitals were ran by medically trained staff instead of armies of accountants maybe things would improve. An example, a mate of mine is an NHS accountant, he's quite high up the tree and has a lot of staff working under him. He says that 3/4 of them are idiots and that he could run his department without them but the powers that be dictate that he needs that amount of people so that's what he must have, he reckons the good people are out in industry or in practices so the NHS gets the leftovers. I recently saw an ad for a corporate outreach consultant on ÂŁ75k to promote awareness of the NHS trust to businesses. Who the hell in this country does not know where the hospitals are and what they do?

75K in effect for a NHS salesman... Thats bonkers...

only one decent pm of the last century and this one so far clement atlee actually done something for the working class.the worst blair for total lies and deceit people go on about maggie that man has no sense of morality hope he dies soon and in pain and takes his wife with him
Really? I would say Churchill was a pretty good prime minister from what I've heard (unless I've just succumbed to "Tory propaganda"). I dislike Blair - the 'man of the people' who went from earning less than a GP as PM and is now a multimillionaire, but he got voted in 3 times so somebody must like him.
I reckon Brown was a pretty awful PM. There may have been worse before I was born but they're probably just as forgettable.

He may have earned less than a GP but his wife earned a damn fortune from his signing up to the human rights act .

can't understand why churchill classed as a great pm.a war hungry alcoholic .declared war on germany because of invading poland then left it under communist rule for the next 50 years i would class that as a total pointless exercise and 250000 british people dead thanks to a great pm so adam w get a history book and an opinion of your own.its easy to send people out to die if your a drunk 70 year old man and have lived your life.
He did Not declare war on germany, Chamberlaine did. When hitler invaded poland he broke the treaty that was in place at the time. Churchill took over as War Time pm and did a first class job.

Good history lesson...

Winston Churchill also came out with some great quotes,
Here is one from memory,

Madam I may be drunk but you are ugly,
in the morning I will be sober..

sarcasm is not the answer to being a great leader.i give you it is a great quote.one great quote doesn't make up for wasting 250000 lives on a pointless and half completed mission.

what do you

think he should have done, let the germans take us over, then hitler and his cronies would have done the same to us as they did elsewhere 'ethnic cleansing' he was responsible for the deaths of millions . I'm just glad Winston was here, cos if we had lost that war we wouldnt be talking on this forum.

Very easy to pick holes in things after the advent he was voted in to win a war we were losing in the air on sea and on land and to make the difficult decisions, we won thank god and we and rest of world suffered a terrible price to do it. He liked a beer who dont.
