Hi, I am looking to install an integrated oven, however it's position would mean the socket on the wall will be directly behind it. Is this allowed? is this safe? I just worry it could be too hot there.

I could move the socket, probably nearer the floor so it's below the oven. If I do this would it have to be above 45cm?

Thanks for reading

Put it in an adjacent kitchen unit where it will be accessible. Bad idea to have it behind the oven!

Place it wherever it is most accessible and practical.

If you can't immediately access the socket it is also advisable to feed it through a double pole switch so it can easily be isolated if faulty or just for maintenance such as cleaning.

What's the rule with sockets under the kitchen worktop - do they have to be at a certain height?

Is it not possible to move the socket into one of the adjacent base units and make a small hole to feed the plug top through

make the hole a bit bigger and feed the plug bottom through as well.:D:D

I read that sockets must be a minimum of 45cm above the floor?
