Possible bad capacitator

Hello everyone,

I opened one of my devices as I often do in order to clean. In this case it is an XTI6000 amplifier that I bought second hand and was EXTREMELY dirty. I found the Capacitor C1009 in the condition found on the attached photo. Is this a matter of concern and should be replaced? Or just dirt from the dust that was there previously?

The concern normally is when Electrolytic Capacitors are bulging which it doesn't look like in this case.

It looks like a little bit of surface rust? maybe check there isn't moisture getting in anywhere?

If it isn't rust then just check above to see if anything is leaking.

Zero leaks, it is completely dry on it and around it.

Also no bulging.

I confirm that it it also seem rust to the naked eye - maybe because of the massive layer of dust that was sitting on it before, I Guess?

I always suspect a bit with this amplifier because it already had capacitors serviced twice since I have it. the guy who fixed it told me that I should open it up from time to time because it is possible that more might come. Something about a bad era of capacitors industry during the years this device was manufactured? That's what I understood from him at least
