power to a stable

hi can any one help i have been asked to install a socket and a light inside and out side of a stable to run off a 2.2kw generator if its correct can i run flex from a garage consumer unit and fix a plug on to it so they can plug in to generator when neeeded would i still use 6a mcb for lights and 16a for a socket i will be using ip rated sockets and light fitings and keeping everything out of reach of horses
