A

ample current

I have just had a call from a company who are looking at installing some elctric gates at the bottom of a long drive.
They have asked me to price for 100m armoured cable (its a looooooong drive).

I asked the guy what amps i need to power the gates and he replyed 6a.(prolly less than this but thats what he said)
They want the cable clipped to the fence down the side of the drive.

I was just looking at what the voltage drop may be for this cable so turned to page 338 and 339 of the bgb.

Now i like to use 3 core armoured cable i was wondering which colomn i should use
p339 colomn 2 says 2 core dc, colomn 3 says 2 core single phase ac and colomn 4 says 3 or 4 core 3phase,
no colomn for 3 core single phase.

do i use cololmn 3 or 4?

Thanks in advance guys
