Hi guys just a little bit of advice needed..

Looking to run power to my garage which is detached from my house.

I was thinking about using a 45a rcbo from the consumer unit then out on swa to the garage then having a small consumer unit with mcbs for the sockets and lights,

The swa will be clipped along the back of my fence?

Would all of the above be ok to do?

Cheers guys

6mm SWA? are you using the house earthing or rodding the garage? does the SWA need RCD protection?

Most, if not all, garage boxes have an RCD as the main switch. If you stick an RCBO on the other end you may have problems discriminating between both. Nothing like having to bimble back into the house when your granddads favourite drill trips the RCD.
