Hello forum gurus!

I am about to remove a bathroom mirror that had a light attached, so I have power cables coming though the wall tiles.

I plan to replace the mirror with a non powered bathroom cabinet - if I turn the power off at the fuse box, can I just cut it back to the wall and put some electrical tape around the ends of the wires to stop it electrocuting me. Or is that a bonkers plan!

Any advice would be great...

Cheers

Dave

as above. if you know what you are diong, trace the cable back to source and disconnect it.

You need to isolate the supply. Remove cable from wherever it is fed from then you can take cable away. Or at least cut at both sides if u cannot remove it.
