Folks,

Not one I've come across as I'd always completed and approved my own installation certificates but....is it OK for a sparkie to PP the inspector's signature on a certificate?

Doesn't seem right to me.

Thanks

No . On a three signature cert a tester can sign. but what you describe is wrong if I understand it correcly.

Thanks...so just to clarify, this is my son's installation cert for his new property. NICEIC spark (I used to be one) and he's pp'd the inspector's signature but put his name. Same date so I'd guess it's not been checked by the inspector as he's about 40 miles away judging by the office address.

The certificate is poor, to say the least (no page numbers, no test instrument details, no proper circuit descriptions, no details of mains smokes, etc, etc). But maybe I'm just fussy!

I know they have a QS system , but I think that is abuse if the spark has signed the cert accrediting to him.
