Anyone else claimed for it and have you had a rejection letter , tempted to go through the fso

I'm in the process of claiming against a main high street bank from a loan I had yeas ago, have'nt had the acceptance/refusal letter yet but will do in a few weeks.

If anyone is thinking of doing this please look at Reclaim PPI for Free: ÂŁ1,000s for mis-sold insurance... for advice where you will find all the info you need to make a claim. Please take special attention on the list of why you believe you are entitled to re-claim your PPI, very very important. If your making a claim yourself you will get a phone call, make sure you have memorized that list word for word. Or you can go through a PPI claim company and pay them 30% of your money. Good luck to anyone doing it.

I just got a letter telling me there final decision and a photocopy of my signature on a form ! But when I was their the lady at the bank told me that I had to have it or they wouldn't accept me for the credit card!

Exactly what happen to me, you must have it or else we wont proceed with the loan application on both a loan and a credit card.

I had that call on Monday this week so they have 28 days to send a decision letter, fingers crossed time as it will be around ÂŁ2k just in time for xmas.

I'm guessing that their decision was no?

Just because you signed the agreement that does not detract from their mis selling. The rejection letter is a tactic hoping at this point you will give up. We're looking into a few store cards just now that had PPI on them and if it's doable I'll get every penny I can out of them.
Don't accept the rejection. Go to moneysavingexpert there's a guide on there how to go about it

Yeah. Not giving up just trying to decide between the fso or the courts! Might just go the easy route and do the fso tho!

It explains on the moneysavingexpert site that rejection from your lender should be considered as a typical step in the process. You then have template letters that you can forward to the financial ombudsman - it is is them who make the decision.

If lenders pay out in the first instance then it is a perk, it is not the norm.

I'm planning on putting in a few claims myself.
