i am planning to do the freshers course but would like a boost in confidence before i book it.
cheers in advance

I failed my testing on am2 as I didnt look in the OSG to confirm whether my Zs results were within the limits. My highest reading was 0.27 lol. I said I know the limits of each Rating. they said thats impossible and failed me! So I had to pay 200 to go back. Money robbing b******s lol

I did mine in june last year, circuits to wire are Co2 detector, motor( just connect into adaptable box ) 2 way and intermediate lighting, ring main with a spured socket, a 'garage db' with a radial socket off it, 2 data points, brush up on your s plan heating aswell i had to wire an s plan heating system as part of it, if you want more info ill dig out my noted, just pm me, cheers

I think it's nice to see people still doing the am2 and becoming qualified electricians the good old fashioned way! Sick to death of everybody yo talk to know not having served their time and just picked it up!!!

yep done mine last year too

very easy if you practice and read up

yes theres an S plan heating with solar panel integration that needs wiring.

the DOL starter is pre-wired so very simple in and out connections...

fault finding exam is very easy.. simple faults to find ! lol

online exam is straight forward.

anyone can pass the AM2 if you put your mind to it.
