Hi there I've been asked to start to carry out a number of Landlord certs, which I have started. I was just wondering what you guys were saying about non metal boards, if there is already a full RCD board installed pre Jan 2016. Are you doing unsatisfactory? or just putting them down as a recommendation and making them satisfactory?

Have a look at best practice guide 4 from Electrical Safety First:-

http://www.----------------------------/mediafile/100740439/Best-Practice-Guide-4-Issue-4-.pdf

It recommends that if the board is combustible, is not within a non-combustible enclosure and is located under a wooden staircase or is in the sole route of escape it's a C3, failing that it doesn't get a mention. If unsatisfactory connections are found inside during inspection, it's a C2.

It's all in the best practice guide.
