Pro-Elec gear from cpc. prices look brilliant. has anyone used their gear. what are the Cus like, cheap and cheerful , or good value?

Hi telectrix :)

I haven't been brave enough to use any of the CU stuff.

However I have bought loads of plate accessories & JB's. Seriously, don't bother, it's kak!

The JB's are worse than rubbish, I would not trust them. Most either broke or threaded. Plate accessories often arrive, I fit and they did not work (e.g DP 20A immersion switch on my best mates house - not good). He was watching - "is that a cheap one"

The plastic is so brittle it's hopeless. They are the perfect example of you get what you pay for.

I am not by the way slating cpc. I buy ÂŁ1000's from them every year and alot of it is fine. But not the white pro-elec accessories!

Dunno about the CU's ..........

i first dealt with cpc when they firsrt started in the 70's selling second hand television valves. they came wrapped in newspaper and usually 80-90% were good. was like 20p for a valve that would cost over ÂŁ1 new. made a right killing then. look at em now though!

Fantastic!

wrapped in newspaper, like fish and chinkers :)

yep. individually wrapped and packed in a cardboard box. got to odd one smashed though. royal mail seem to think a fragile label means only throw, not kick.
