Problem on job with bungalow

Hi

I have an issue at a bungalow im working at, there is a fault

All the sockets are on a ring, when i plug something in the living room it trips the RCD plug it into any other sockets it dosent trip the RCD

The board is MAIN SWITCH RCD

check the living room sockets. suspect a N/E reversal.

I took one of the socket fronts off in living room, and it all looked fine whilst socket front was off plugged in and tripped cheers

Change socket and re test

used to be a good code 3 on the old PIRs..... further investigation required.

not established there all on a ring (Havent taken every socket off) but there all on one circuit

How long has it been tripping ?

Then pull the two pair and cpc's out the board and do the testing sequence this may lead you to a conclusion..

I think he should go for the testing of the circuit Biff to check for the usual as well as and before the suspect RCD what you reckon ?

Still think its faulty skt if no tripping anywhere else.
will only take 2 mins to prove / disprove
