Crikey, thank goodness we've finished the installation side and don't have to generate any more MCS certificates.

Then again, looking at the mountain of paperwork needed to put all the site files in order, I guess it's not all easy road here for me anyway. >_<

Try not to worry, it is slow - but they do come through eventually. Last one I did took about 3 hours. It does add the nice extra bit of stress to what it already a stupid situation though.

Update from Gemserv:

5th December 2011- Generating MCS Certificates
Due to the sheer number of installations being uploaded to the MCS Database, there is currently a delay in the certificates being generated. If you receive a message stating "Pending Generation" or your certificate is highlighted in blue under the administration tab, the certificate is in a queue and should be with you shortly. We are trying to resolve this issue and do apologise for any inconveniences caused.

Managed to get through to MCS 3 times today (with repeated dialling), they said the problem started on Friday, but I noticed generation slowing before this. They have assured me that all certificates will be processed before the end of the day. I asked whether this meant business hours, and was told "NO". They also assured me that the problem is just the backlog, but by tomorrow it should all be back to normal. Here's hoping!

4 more to do yet. Customers getting very nervous now especially those whose FIT providers will only accept hard copy applications.

Bugger, Registered mine at 5pm.... long wait

Never mind we're all in for an extended (should that be permanent?) holiday after this! Unless of course they change the date........ Tempted to just spend all day hitting buttons until mcs website crashes completely and then see what they have to say! Don't panic - only joking!

That is very cool. It would be the end user software that would make that the absolute king.
