Hey guys, Happy new Year :smiley2:

I qualified when the 16th edition regulations where in use and now they have changed to the 17th edition i'm having a little trouble on deciding whether i should use an Rcbo or a normal MBC for certain installations.

Is there any kind of quick reference guide out there that i can use to help me decide on what circuit breaker would be best for the job?

From what i have been reading so far it seams that basically everything needs to be protected by an RCBO or RCD some way or another... Help please :90:

ah, yes. that's the problem OP has got the 17th edition of the beano annual. think that was in around 1967, before even i had trained.

so this OP cant even grasp additional/fault protection....where to apply it and then starts on about what OPD to select ...

what a load of old crap....

to the OP: go away....

i wouldn`t put my name to that old rubbish....

Ahh! There you are! I was beginning to think you'd gone looking for 'electros' to give him a slap, after his threatening behaviour towards you last week!
