am i right assuming that there is no earth or am i missing something.
I couldnt carry ze as[ElectriciansForums.net] property with no earth help please they both work from home and can not turrn the power off .
Please see photos attached and coment.

Thank You

If there is no earth coming in and the supplier will not supply one then might have to make it a TT installation (if that hasn't been done already, I can't see from the photos whether the MET is connected to an earthing rod). though it does say PME on the head so it might be TNCS. Personally I think you need to do a Ze test before you can do any further work.

Hi Derek
Deffenitly not conected to earthing rood.
I have two bonds going to gas and water and as you can see 16`T&e going to cu which is 8m away

remove the fuse cover and access the earthing point on the Head to check for PME!

also during the works i would remove the ELCB thats fitted also as it will be come redundant and they are crap any way!

Are you able to establish what the connections in the MET are ? There doesn't appear to be an earth from the head even though it's marked PME.

I see the seal fairy has done her bit
Elcb ? maybe not
It looks like the old MK mostly 100m/amp Rcd to my failing eyes
Dont put your money on that though :)

Are looking closer it is a current operated 100m/amp elcb
At least its not a voltage operated type
Its old hat and ugly so it ought to go though

Well TELL them they could be working from home in a potentially lethal situation! TELL them you need 5-10 mins with the power off to do your Ze.

If there was a suspected gas leak would they continue tapping away at their keyboards so as not to lose work time?!
