My thinking is that the proving unit is the known supply and therefore should be used prior to any testing, I understand the veiw that how do you know the proving unit is ok, but you could go round and round this till the coos come home

That makes 2 of us mate.I just use megger
When I was an apprentice it was either a neon screwdriver or a lamp with two bits of wire,but mostly proved to be dead if the fuse was out,switched off or the lights went out.
