Well so im working at pub today, fitting LED outside lights and the Landlord asked if there's anything i can do to save him on energy bill as he pays £700 / Month on electric bills!! And he struggling to afford it (independent pub - not many left around and hes worrying hes going to be next with people choosing to stay at home more than go to pub etc)

Again he wants to save but also keep costs down, ive told him he could save by swapping all his lamps in every fitting to LED lamps, hes happy with that but what else is there that i could do to save him money on electric bill.. anyone know any products to replace things to save cash!

Anything i can do to fridges? Cellars? anything electrical in a pub :/ - what about one of them Voltage Optimizer anyone fitted one etc

Cheers

All the keg beers are chilled separately so there's no need for the area around them to be cold - he could install those plastic curtain thingies around the cask ales to reduce the amount of cellar space which needs to be chilled.
Hinged fridge doors rather than sliding ones will encourage the bar staff to close the fridge doors rather than leave them open for speed.
Occupancy sensors in the bogs.
Maybe consider heat recovery from the toilet fans.

I have a few other tips for increasing profits, but I wouldn't like to share them on a public forum.

Not electrical saving so much, could as if he has a decent sensor on the flush system in the urinals. Some just drip away until they flush, some will read the number of bodies moving across a sensor and flush every 5 or so, that way its not flushing during quite times or the night wasting loads of water.

He not going to do it all at once, when he gets a little cash he will buy say 10 LED lamps, so on and so on like that.. Thats what hes after hes not going to look at it and go right these savings BOOM Buy it all NOW! gradual saving im guessing as price increases on everything.. So he can slowly counteract price increases and stay open.. rather than going bust and shutting

To save money on pub electrics, whilst using LED will save on the bills, especially if you are changing floodlights or downlights, the key areas to consider are the high power appliances such as heaters, controlling these so they are only on when required will save you the daily energy of a light bulb in one hour.
The thing I always hear is "30% of our energy is spent on lighting we must use energy efficient lighting"
I tend to think, hang on a minute, what is the 70% spent on!
Keeping food hot is expensive, only keep food hot whilst it is due to be served, the cost of the food disposal can be outweighed by the cost of constant heating, especially with good planning.
Using timers and controllers that monitor conditions can save a lot.
Sealing cooling appliances correctly and having autoclose doors can help.
Just having airlock doors for the entrances can reduce heating costs.
