I have just had my renewal quote through. It's up to £290. This includes employees liability and £5000 for tools. It doesn't include indemnity.

I thought this was high, but when I've gone on line to compare, it comes out in the £400 + range.

I just wondered if there were any recommendations for business insurance? Also, what sort of prices are you paying?

basically I need PL insurance, tools, employees liability, and I'm going to add indemnity.

It's the tools and PI that will be adding the ££'s. Unless you do a lot of design work for clients who demand it, do you really need it?

It seems like the right thing to do if I am carrying out EICR's. I'd much rather not have it, but then you're taking a pretty big gamble.

Sounds extremely cheap to me. Including charges mine was £1,082 ten days ago. Has been pretty constant around that for the last few years.
