Tried pulling some 2.5mm T&E through 10m of 20mm flexi conduit the other day with a draw tape, although I did succeed it was a bit of a wrestle.

Does anyone have any clever tricks to make this easier? Perrhaps some cable lube or some other smart idea.

Thanks in advance.

I don't often pull twin & earth through flexicon.
I find with any cables that it helps a lot if the far end of the flexicon is held or clamped to something solid as this helps to straighten out the flexi and makes it a lot easier to pull cables through!

Pull it through before bending the flexi into whatever position it’s going into…..
THIS

I learned the hard way many years ago , put up some flexicon in a garage nice neat job all bent round corners etc then for the life of me struggled like mad to get 2 x 2.5 cables round the bends.
Ended up un clipping sections and straightening it out to push the cables through then re clipped back up

Insert cable before installing flexi
It's much easier if there are 2 people (1 either end)
double the cable end over so the end is curved so the cut end doesn't stick in the flexi
If I'm on my own then I normally cable tie / tape 1 end to something like a pair of steps
pull flexi as tight as you can and push cable through while moving flexi up & down in a whipping motion keeping as tight & straight as possible and it should go through with no problems

I am starting to wonder as people use flexi-con more and more to wire garages , gardens , sheds and even office spaces etc ect we might as well start being able to buy pre-wire flexi-con in a variety of cables sizes and cores.
Certainly something that I would use more often if I would easily het my hands on pre-wired

I used to work at Flexicon 10 years ago, prewired conduit is possible but expensive.
why not just use swa?

Prewired flexible conduit has never really been popular here, it's readily available in America though, just search for MC or BX cable. Would work really well here for protecting conductors from damage in crappy metal studwork that seems to be used everywhere now, as well as for properties where rodent damage is likely.
